Park Yoochun was raised in Seoul, South Korea but moved to Chantilly, Virginia in the United States when he was 11 years old (Sixth Grade) with his family. In 2001, at a song festival, he won the Daesang (the highest award) and started to spread his name around. In 2003 in a Youth music festival, he recieved a special award and because of that, he caught one of SM's recruiting team's attention. Yoochun's piano skills and song writing skills are great. He has written over 100 songs before his debut. He has good taekwondo skills too. In elementary school he represented the state's taekwondo team and performed with them on "Children's day". Micky Yoochun who has lots of talents, announced that he gave up his U.S Citizenship. It was to concentrate on his singing career. In order to keep up with the U.S citizenship he has to go to the states 2 or 3 times in a year. So it would be hard to peform in Korea all the time. Yoochun has announced that when he becomes an adult, he is going to join the army with DBSK members.

Facts 

Official debut: December 26th 2003 in BoA and Britney Spears Showcase (with TVXQ)

Yoochun lived in Fairfax, Virginia for roughly four years since 1998 before he auditioned for Brothers Entertainment and was sent to Korea to SM Entertainment.

He had to take a lot of part time jobs to earn money to buy his first piano and for the plane ticket to Korea.

Micky was Yoochun's English nickname when he lived in Virginia.

Aftercoming back to Korea from America, he became a trainee for only six months before officially joining DBSK as the last member.

He appeared in Magolpi's debut music video "Flight Girl".

Going to Japan was his scariest experience so far.

Ramen is his favourite Japanese food.

He's into Japanese anime "Detective Conan" and used to collect (or still is ^^) Gundam Seed plastic models. He also loves to read comic books (mangas). His (young) fans often send them to him as gifts. His favorites are "One Piece" and "Bleach". 

Yoochun has 4 tattoos. The first one on his right leg, reportedly a feather, is an Indian symbol of brotherhood, that he and his brother Yoohwan share.The second one is on his lower back which says TVfXQMYC. The third one says "Always Keep The Faith", that Jaejoong also has. The fourth one is a wing, with "My Jaejoong, My Yoohwan, My Junsu" written above. The third and forth tattoos are both on his left chest. 

He had his first kiss during a ski trip, after debut.

He took a lot of part time jobs when he was in Virginia to help out parents financially. 

Yoochun is left-handed but he can write with both hands. He uses chopsticks with his left hand but he writes with his right hand.

He is very generous and often pays for meals. 

He wants to pursue acting.

He bought a house to live with his mother and younger brother after they came back to Korean from the US in 2008. 

Yoochun is often teased by other members because of his large forehead which is also the most common reason for his fights with Junsu.

Yoochun did Taekwondo for 6 years when he was in elementary school.

He opened an Italian ice-cream shop (Timeout Gelato) for his mother on Mother's day.

He is really scared of bugs.

He liked to sing, dance, dressing up and paying attention to hairstyles since he was small.

Yoochun still has asthma and allergy to dogs but he refused to let Harang be taken away. This is also why he sometimes has to wear sunglasses onstage. For now Yoochun has 3 dogs: Harang (The Love from God) - Alaskan Malamute, Namu (Trees ~ LOL) - Golden Retriever and Norae (Song) - Toy Poodle. It was Yoochun himself who went to puppies' shop and bought Harang and Namu and raised them since when they were tiny. Norae is fangift. One time Yoochun went out to buy foods for Harang (Namu was not there yet), he ran into some fans and they gave him Norae. He said that at that time, Norae was looking at him as if she wanted to say: "Take me with you!!!" 

He has a small stomach therefore native Korean food suits him the best. Every time he comes home from abroad, the first thing he has to eat is kimchi soup. 

Yoochun got his driving licence when he was 16 in America.

To him, the color of love is black.

He got an acrophobia, thus he couldn't ride the ferris wheel.

He wrote lyrics for his solo song My Girlfriend, one main song of TRICK series, at Starbucks.

When he is having supper, because he feels lonely, he will force others to accompany him.

SONG IL KOOK is noted not only for his good looks and acting abilities in the Korean drama scene, but he also brings a distinguished family history.  He is the grandson of Kim Du-han, a well-known right wing politician, and the great grandson of General Kim Jwa-jin, a famous Korean Independence Movement leader.  His mother Kim Eul Dong is a talented actress, recently rejuvenating her career with Mapado (2005) and Golden Era of Daughter-in-Law (KBS, 2007).

Song Il Kook graduated from the Cheongju  University, majoring in Performing Arts, although he admits that he was more interested in art and design at the time.  His started  acting in Korean dramas in 1998 at the age of 27, and was considered a “late bloomer.”  He played many  small roles, populating daily and morning dramas, New Year's specials through the early 2000s.  His first significant role was in the action drama Bodyguard (KBS, 2003), playing a slightly off-kilter villain. Song's breakthrough, however, came from two roles in particular: Jang Soo in the weekend drama Terms of Endearment (KBS, 2004), and his impressive turn as Yeom Jang in Emperor of the Sea (KBS, 2005). In those two dramas, Song showed both sides of the acting spectrum: the charming everyday man and the most charismatic villain in the last few years.

Song attained mega star status when he was cast in Jumong (MBC, 2006), which brought him the prestigious Daesang Award in 2006. Jumong is one of the most successful Korean TV dramas of all time, capturing an average of 40% viewership, and staying on the number one chart for 40 consecutive weeks. Jumong continues to this day to be popular all over the world, in countries like the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, China, Iran, Turkey, and Iraq.  Jumong’s legacy was extended to the 2009 drama Kingdom of the Wind, where Song played Muhyul, grandson of Jumong.  Kingdom of the Wind was entered as a foreign in the 2009 International Film Festival.   He also won the KBS Best Actor 2009 award for this role.

Song typically takes on physically challenging roles that display his outstanding skills in sword-fighting, archery, martial arts and horsemanship.   Additionally, his talent as a sketch artist was captured in his roles as Yeom Jang  (Emperor of the Sea) and Muhyul (Kingdom of the Winds). He is a vice-president of the Korean Triathlon Confederation and participated in the 2008 Seoul International Triathlon, 2009 and 2010. In April 2008, Song carried the Olympic torch through Seoul.  

Besides acting, Song has modeled professionally, both on the runway and in print, and won the 2009 Asian Model Award.

On March 15, 2008, Song married a Busan High Court Judge (identified only by her family name "Jung") in a private traditional Korean wedding away from the media spotlight at the Sheraton Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul.  Because of her sensitive position as a legal counsel, she remains out of the media spotlight.

In 2009, the State of Hawaii honored him by designating March 21 as Song Il Kook day when he headlined a fan meeting in Honolulu.  An exclusive hibiscus flower, created by a fan, was named, GeNtLe Song , in his honor.  

As a result of his strong fan support in Hawaii, he insisted that the first episode of his 2010 drama, A Man Called God, be filmed in Hawaii.  Dramatic action scenes shot against the island’s natural beauty had never before been seen in Korean dramas.  In addition, Song prepared for his role as Michael King in this drama for 8 months by physically working out and losing over 30 lbs.  His new look was a stunning change from Jumong and Muhyul.

He is currently playing the dual lead roles in a stage play “I am You” in Seoul from July 27 – August 22, 2010.  It is the first stage play he has ever done, and it was especially challenging because he plays the role of a historic hero, Ahn Joong Geun, and his son, Ahn Joong Saeng, whose life is miserable for being kept in the shadow of his heroic father. His dedication and hard work is being rewarded with numerous positive reviews, sold-out shows, and standing ovations.  Song Il Kook has said his ambition is to expand his experiences in theater by taking on a variety of roles, the more difficult the better.  He especially values working and learning from other experiences thespians.  In his personal life, he has said he wants to be a good father, good husband, and strive to be a man true to his words.

Opposite with the pretty baby face, HyunJoong's personality is a determinant, blunt, stubborn one, and also he also has a strong mind.

* He hates mushy things like: "Pick stars in the sky for me...", wearing couple shirts with cute icons on it like Mickey Mouse (He did wear couple shirts once in We Got Married show but they were kind of sporty shirts).

- HyunJoong had a rough and hard youth. He did not get any allowance from his parents. He has worked since 17: as a chicken/pizza delivery boy, as a waiter. He had earned about 100 million won from jobs during his younger days.

- He made a promise with his childhood friends to open a chicken restaurant. He has kept that promise and made it come true. Now he's running a chicken restaurant with his childhood friends. His restaurant's name is Jaksal Chicken, and his dog name is Jaksalie (Jaksal = to harpoon/kill) 

- His best friends in music industry (other than his members) are JaeJoong (JYJ), Micky (JYJ) XIA ,Jun SU (JYJ) and TOP (Big Bang). They will never bring anyone else if four of them are together. Lately, he became closer with Kim Bum while they are filming Boys Over Flowers. Kim Bum and HyunJoong are neighbors now too.

- He wrote a fanfic about love between men. Main characters in the fanfic are himself and JungMin (SS501). That was an intentional joke with JungMin and also because he was so bored because he has nothing to do in Japan. So he decided to write a fanfic

Breaking away from the labels attached to his boy band past as SS501’s leader, singer Kim Hyun Joong, who has set out to stand on his own two feet, lives by the motto ‘You only live once.’ But this doesn’t mean that the singer expects things to happen overnight.


“The motto I live by is ‘You only live once.’ When we say ‘You only live once,’ something like winning the lottery or the phrase ‘going out with a bang’ usually comes to mind, but that’s not what I mean. We really only have one life, and I want to live it to the fullest.”

A lifetime of 25 years may be long or short, depending on whom you ask, but Kim has tried to live every day diligently, and he is beginning to see the fruits of his labor as he establishes himself as a solo artist not only in Korea, but across Asia. 

Having debuted in a group, Kim isn’t satisfied with where he is currently. Although the singer has traversed Japan, China and Thailand and been well-received in numerous other countries, when Kim is asked, ‘Do you feel settled?’ he says ‘Not yet.’

There’s no sign of slowing down for Kim, who released his first solo album in June and plans to release his second mini album Lucky on October 11. 

“As a singer, I want to barrel full speed ahead because of my impending enlistment,” said Kim. “I want to make my mark as a singer before I enlist. In our country, there’s a tendency to be easily forgotten. Because I haven’t really established myself as an actor either, I’m thinking of doing a drama next year as well.”

It doesn’t take one long to realize that Kim is someone who carefully plans out his path. Following the release of his second mini album, the singer will release a winter-appropriate digital single in December, before releasing another album early next year and embarking on an Asian tour. The reason for the consecutive releases is so Kim can show fans a variety of performances during his tour.


Kim’s will is not to be taken lightly. But you can′t quite consider him a jack of all trades, since he really only wants to go ′all in′ as a singer and an actor. 


“I’ve been juggling singing and acting as well as running a business, but honestly, I’ve handed the business over to my friends and am just watching from afar,” said the singer. “I only really care about acting and music. Many people ask me if I’m only going to do two things, and I’m only going to do those two things. Young Saeng, who said he would never do a musical, did a musical a little while ago, but I don’t plan on doing any musicals.”

“I’ve been running tirelessly with the thought that I want to present the fans at home and abroad with something,” continued the singer, revealing his passion and goal-oriented work ethic. Kim is indeed living according to the motto ‘You only live once.’

“I will continue to juggle being a singer and an actor. As I flow [in and out of those roles], I want to establish my image as a singer and an actor. I’m hoping that once I complete the Asian tour, the public will recognize the image of singer Kim Hyun Joong. I’m excited for that day to come. That’s why I want to release an album as soon as I can.”

The level of Kim’s engagement musically continues to deepen as well. Not only did he pen some of the songs himself, he played an active role in the album′s production. His image transformations from album to album also highlights the many facets of his charm, and his first album Break Down, in particular, contains five tracks that showcase different sides to the singer. 

“What do I want to achieve in my 20s? I’ve already achieved it. Because I’m a singer!” said the singer. “Rather than what I want to achieve from now on, I want to live out the dream I’ve already achieved as a singer.”

0-4 yrs old, as long as Hyun Joong was lost in the park, it must be because he ran to the singer performance stage.

Since Hyun Joong was born, he was very popular among the neighbours because of his big eyes, sharp intuition and cleverness.
One day, in my dream, all in a sudden, I dream of a truck fully loaded with radish driving passed me. There was a huge radish which was of the size of the truck. Withing my apron on, I ran after the truck, trying to catch the big radish. The radish rolled into my apron and I fell down onto the floor. This was the largest radish I had ever seen in my entire life. I was very surprised. Just when I tried to lift up the radish to take a look, I woke up from my dream. I felt very strange: “Is this a sign that I am pregnant?” Therefore, I went to the hospital for checkup. The doctor told me: “Congratulations!”. Indeed, I was pregnant!

Hyun Joong started to walk when he was 9 month old. Before this, although he can sit alone, he couldn’t climb, the family members were worried that he might be slow to learn walking. However, he omitted the climbing stage and advanced to the walking stage. All the family members were shocked.

During his 1 year old birthday, he would offer his birthday steam rice cake for the guests to eat. During the Toljabee* event, in order to let him choose the pencil and book, the family members purposely placed both items right in front of him, instead, he chose the brush which was placed beside those items. Hyun Joong started speaking and counting very fast, but he was most interested to sing, dance and play games.

(*Note: Toljabee event is used to predict the child’s future. In this case, Hyun Joong picked the brush which symbolizes that he will become a scholar.)

Since being newly wed up to now, our family has been living nearby the SongpaGu Olympic park. Every weekend, there would be a lot of singers performing there. When bringing Hyun Joong and his elder brother who is 1 year older than him to the park for a stroll, both children would be very happy.

Hyun Joong even got lost a few times, I panicked and searched all over the park, eventually he was always found at the stage where the singers were performing.

Once, the dance group “Seo Tai-ji and boys” were singing ‘I Know’ in the park, Hyun Joong actually ran up to the stage to dance. He even played games with the other singers on stage and laughed happily. Hyun Joong was excellent in his studies, it had never come to my mind that he will become an artist. However now that I started to think, he seems to be different from other kids since childhood.

From kindergarten, Hyun Joong had shown his multiple talents. Solving math sum very fast and drew well. Also, learned to speak and recognized words very fast. His elder brother who was 1 year older than him would always sit still to learn. However, Hyun Joong was the kind of child who could play almost everything but yet could still learn well at the same time.

We were worried that both children would feel pressured from learning, therefore, we always let them get in touch with nature more often. In order to celebrate their starting of primary school life, our family went for a tour in Jeju Island. During that time Hyun Joong rode on a horse which was many times taller than him and refused to come down. Seeing this, the people around praised him for being so wonderful. During weekends, we always brought the children to fish. This is why until now, if he felt pressured from his artist work, Hyun Joong will always go fishing alone.

Starting from 2nd year of primary school, Hyun Joong became the class representative. He always handled his own things meticulously. Waking up right after his little alarm clock rang at 6am in the morning on time, completing all his home work by himself. When we visited his school, his class teacher always praised him: “Hyun Joong was very fast in learning. He would not have a problem to enroll into Seoul University.”

At that time, we thought Hyun Joong would use his learning ability to be successful in his career, we had never thought that he would be an artist.

Actually, starting from 2nd to 4th year of his Primary school, Hyun Joong participated in the Mathematic Olympic Competition and he always won the Gold medal. He also always won in art competition. His medals were so many until it could fill up an entire box. His result was always ranked 1st in the class and often rank 1st or 2nd in the whole school.

To prevent him from being singled out by his friends, we also sent him for extra tuition classes to learn calligraphy and Hanja. Even in the tuition center, he was always top in the class. When still in the lower primary years, Hyun Joong already obtained the certificate for level 3 Hanja qualification examination. His tuition center teacher praised: “Hyun Joong passed the certification examination even lower secondary students found hard to pass.” Our family members were also shocked.

Hyun Joong hide 300 millions won (approximately USD237,000) in a book as a gift for his brother

In junior high school placement test, he was enrolled scoring the 4th highest result in the entire school. It was in his 3rd year junior high school when he announced that he wanted to be an artist. As his father was worried that he was too engrossed in his studies, he bought him a guitar to ‘rest his brain’, this was the trigger point for him to be an artist.

Hyun Joong started to be engrossed in guitar. Hyun Joong guitar teacher said: “He is very talented, something needed to be learned in 3 years he could master them in 3 months. His guitar teacher once advised his father to let Hyun Joong further his talent in music, but his father was strongly against it.

There after, Hyun Joong formed a band, working part time and performing outside. There’s once, the neighbours said: “The day before, the child of that household was delivering fried chicken.” Only then the family knew that he worked part time in fried chicken restaurant. We felt that as a man one had to be independent, it is alright to go through hardships, so we didn’t stop him from working.

Hyun Joong said: “I would follow my parents’ wish to study in arts high school, but I will make every other decisions in future.” After joining the high school for 1 year, he voluntary dropped out from school. His father & I said: “Dropping out was your own choice, you have to be responsible for your own decision.” He was given only 10 thousand won (USD7.90!) pocket money every month.

Due to Asean financial crisis, our business was affected. We started a fashion business in Dongdaemun. We had to work until 11pm everyday. After getting off from work, I often went to the TGI restaurant which my son worked to secretly watch my son working for around 1 hour before returning home.

During winter, while waiting for my son to come back home, I kept looking out for him from the window. At around 1am, looking at my son making his way through the knee height snow with much difficulties, I felt pain in my heart. In spite of that, I didn’t want him to see my sorrow and always turned off the lights to pretend that everybody had fallen asleep.

After passing the trainee singer interview, my son would return home only when he was given time off. In order to be a trainee, his pocket money was always not enough. Often, he came back starving by public bus. There were many times, he didn’t even have the transportation fee and had to walk home. Despite that, Hyun Joong had never once asked for money from us.

But his love for his family members is extremely deep. When his brother who was studying in America decided to dropped off from his university due to lacking of school fees, Hyun Joong told his brother: “Brother, please read this book.” and gave him a novel as a present.

When his brother opened up the book to read, he found a 300 million won cheque hidden in the book. His brother gave his father a call mentioning that no matter how he counted he couldn’t believe the cheque amount. It was beyond our imagination that while being a trainee singer, he could still carefully save so much money. Ever since he enrolled into the university (Kyonggi University Digital Music faculty), we never worried about him.

Both of us always told him: “Pray before doing something”. Although Hyun Joong said: “Since now elder brother is serving in the army, you can rely on me. Therefore, in the future, don’t work in Dongdaemum anymore.” We hope that not only he can be a singer but also be able to form a family of his own and be responsible. With this, we have no other extravagant hopes.

Moon Chae Won was born on November 13th, 1986 in Daegu, South Korea. Her family moved to Seoul when she was in the 6th grade. After some exposure to acting - obtaining successful auditions for the SBS high school drama, Mackerel Run (2007; her debut role) and the SK Telecom high school film, My School's E.T. (2008) - she discovered her talent and passion for acting. After one year of attendance at Chugye Univeristy, Moon Chae Won left her studies to pursue a career as an actress. Her love for art continues to inspire her, helping her to achieve meaning in her acting work and appreciate film-making as a valuable form of art.

7. favorite motto : I failed and failed. That's why I could succeed.

8. personality : It's very hard to define. Even I don't know me, sometimes. Whenever I acted in each drama, as I get older and older... it keeps changing.

9. How to solve stresses : I used to turn on TV and sleep. (When I woke up, I calmed down a little). I drank a lot without questioning. Nowadays.....my health isn't good as before.

10. What I dreamed : When I was a boy I used to say, "I want to be a medical doctor." because my mom wanted me to say so. After second thought, I guess
I wanted to run a video shop cause I'd love to watch videos.

11. What I dream now : (what I want in 2007) To act in a drama whose program rating is over 20%. To have a fan cafe whose members are over 50,000.

12. When I was saddest : I was a nameless actor and had no money at all in my pocket. I couldn't buy anything for mom on her birthday and I couldn't enter my house, sitting on a swing in the playground in the apartment where I lived for 2 hours. (ㅠㅠㅠㅠ)

13. When I was happiest : Because I had heard the news that politicians put money in the box to give to a powerful man, I put my first big money in two square boxes (in cash). (The boxes were for putting underwears.) I handed them to my parents' knees, holding for 2 seconds. When they opened them, surprising, smiling with tears in their eyes, watching me for 30 seconds.

14. What I regret : When I was at school, I never planned anything, did nothing special, and graduated for nothing. I wasted meaningless 6 years.

15. What I hear often : "I guess I saw you somewhere.....Are you an actor????" (Uhu~~~~~)

16. What I like to hear most : 오빠~~~~ (It means young star, in Korean.As you know)

17. What I hate to hear most : 아저씨~~~ (It means an old, married man. It's real meaning is different from an uncle.)

18. My ideal type : A woman who has pretty hands, feet.

19. Now, girl friend? : No. (I don't have one)

20. Am I flirtatious : Guess!!!

21. When I get married : about 35 years old?

22. How old she must be : I've never considered about older one. If she isn't too young.

23. Attractions in your memory : To take pictures I went to Saipan. I've never been to place like that. It was like pictures. In such place, I spent every night crying for having no girl friend.

24. Where I want to visit : Phuket. One of my friends moved and runs a spa. I keep saying to go there someday. (But I don't still have a chance to.)

25. What I want to bring when I'm in a manless island. : wireless Internet, girl friend, beer.

7, May. My ex-drama hurt my feeling so much, I hesitated which drama
to choose. But I've just got the script 10 days before the shooting.
It's my first historical drama, I'm busy with one thing or another.

Personal Life

Lee Min-ho was born in South Korea on June 28, 1993. His family consists of his father, mother and one older sister. He finishes his high school at Paikyang High School and currently taking up theater major in Chung-Ang University's Institute of the Arts.

He became an actor not because he wants to but because it was his father dream before but couldn't pursue it. There are times that he rebel against his parents because he thought that they were forcing him to do something against his will. In middle school, Lee Min-ho used to be the captain of their soccer team. He was a top scorer 2008 Seoul FC with 10 goals for that season and considered as soccer prodigy. He loved soccer to the point where he wanted to become a soccer player, but eventually upon entering high school he came to realize what acting was like and started to enjoy it. 

His parents even took him to acting workshop because they we’re concerned about his situation when he start questioning about his career while at that time his good friend Yoo Seung-ho already started playing lead roles in dramas God of Study and Flames of Ambition. Lee Min-ho also considered using a stage name because many confused him with the City Hunter’s Lee Min-ho but his parents disapprove with the idea and said that instead of changing his name, he should work harder to be recognized. 

He also reveal in many of his interviews that he likes Kim Yoo-jung and that he would like to act with her again. 

He also cited actor Song Kang-ho and Kim Yoon-seok as his role models.

Of the high-rolling top "hot celebrities" of the wealthy upper class in Korea's high society, Kang Hye-Na is the one desired by the men, feared and hated by the women. Being the only successor to the largest conglomerate company, Kang-san Group, Hye-Na has both the looks and the background. She is the owner of the "Lady Castle" and lives a "princess-like" life with her servants. Losing both her mother and father in a plane crash at a young age, Hye-Na had a lonely upbringing living under the care of her stringent grandfather. Despite being brought up receiving princess treatment with everything she wanted, throughout her upbringing, Hye-Na neither knew nor felt the emotional warmth from family and friends. For this reason, Hye-Na is overtly indifferent and oblivious to others' feelings and situations and sees that the world only revolves around her. Whenever she opens her mouth, the words "Shutup!
